Unlike standard medium pressure UV curing lamps, Fusion Systems (division of Heraeus) lamps are excited to run by microwave energy. The lamps are not directly connected to electrical power and have no electrodes. The Caprock brand CD/58432 / CD/558432H is a six inch mercury-doped lamp designed to run at 300 watts per inch, in systems such as the F300 to cure cans, folding cartons, tags, labels, cups, tubes, resilient flooring, plastic film, and glass. They are also used in other systems, where the Fusion UV unit is integrated into systems from other manufacturers.
